Today was training day. Allie, Videns, River, all of them were off doing their own training. Well, she wasn't sure about Allie but she could only hope. Ever since the other day when her best friend planted those seeds of worry on the young blonde's mind, she couldn't help thinking about how to protect her when the time came.
She decided to do some missions instead of simply crushing trees and boulders with her legs, and as she headed off for the job board, she took a look at the skies to see what kind of weather would await her today. Sunny, with a few clouds on the horizon. Nothing that would bother her, quite the opposite, a perfect summer day. A little too much heat was all she might have to worry about. She started off with a quick request by the mother of a particularly cocky child. He was pretty fast for his age, and could even beat some adults. He had to be humiliated, so his mother went as far as hiring someone like Larissa. Meeting the kid wasn't hard, he was running aimlessly through the streets and quickly taunted Larissa after seeing her run around:
"Getting cocky are we kid?! Fine, I'll kick you a knotch.", grinned a fired up Larissa. Even if it was a kid, she couldn't help having such a reaction upon being challenged.
They found a long road where they'd be able to run freely, and on her marks, they sprinted. But a 10 year old kid was no match for a physically fit young woman who excelled at running and kicking techniques. She left him crying as his long winning streak was shattered, and laughed in amusement. It would teach him a much needed lesson in humility...
